Reliance Mutual Fund has recently informed its investors that it will be sending the statement of accounts to unit holders under the SIP/STP/SWP on a quarterly basis. The account statements will be sent within 10 days of the end of the respective quarter during the months of March, June, September and December every year.
This would be a real cost saver as a part of the money is spent on the statement prints and the delivery of the same to the client. In face a SEBI circular (No: IMD/CIR/12/80083/2006 dated November 20, 2006) already allows the MFs to do this. Hopefully other fund houses too will follow suite.
