The Indian stock markets are taking the last trading day of the financial year on a positive note. Though the course is not entirely in the positive direction, stocks with high market capitalization are indeed showing signs of recovery.
NIFTY is at 3812.15 as against its previous closure of 3798.10 (+0.37%). Banking stocks are in green. BANK NIFTY is at 5335.30 as against its previous closure of 5273.20 and has gained 1.18%.
Sensex opened at 13,018.21 as against previous closure of 12,979.66 and is up 77.64 or 0.60%. Bank, Metal and PSU are trading positive while other sectoral indices are marginally positive.

The media had reports that Tata Motors Limited may buy out 79% stake in Spanish bus and coach manufacturer Hispano Carrocera to make it a wholly owned subsidiary.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Tata Motors Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated,” We have informed the acquisition of a 21% equity stake in Hispano Carrocera, SA, Spain, as also of the call option of Tata Motors to purchase the remaining 75% at a price not exceeding Euro 2 million as per the terms and conditions of the Investment Agreement. The Company has not exercised its call option as of date.”
