The Markets entered into a heavy selling state that has led Sensex to get down to 12,511.46 (-560.64 pts; -4.29%). Nifty is trading at 3643.00 (-4.67%). On Sectoral charts, Bank and Auto stocks are trading down by 5.6% followed by TECk and IT (-4.1%)
PNB, Corporation Bank, OBC (all -9%), Bank of India (-8%) and Union Bank (-7.6) are topping the top losers charts. Union Bank fell below the Rs. 100 mark and is trading at Rs. 96.1 a share on the NSE

Markets continued to stay volatile NIFTY is at 3684.90 (-3.5%) and Sensex is at 12,631.55 (-440.55 pts; -3.37%)
Sensex Midcap is at -2%, Small Cap at -1.7% while BSE 100, BSE 200 and BSE 500 are at -3.2%, -3.1% and -3% respectively.
BSE Auto Sector index passed the -5% mark while Bank sectoral index is a bit shy at -4.93%
Top gainers on Nifty 50 so far Ranbaxy (+2%), VSNL and Tata Power (both +0.5%) while the losers list includes PNB (-9%), OBC, (-8%), Tata Motos, M&M (both -7%), Bajaj Auto, Maruti (both -6%), SBI, Hero Honda (both -5%), L&T and ONGC (-4%)

Starting April 2, 2007, there will be two major changes in the fund mangers for some of the schemes managed by HDFC Mutual Fund.
Chirag Setalvad, Senior fund manager will be the fund manager for HDFC Capital Builder Fund, HDFC Long Term Advantage Fund, HDFC Children`s Gilt Fund (Saving plan and Investment plan), HDFC Multiple Yield Fund- Plan 2005 (Equities) and HDFC Balanced Fund.
Anand Laddha, Assistant Manager (Equities) will be the fund manager for HDFC MF Foreign Securities schemes for making investments in ADRs, GDRs, Foreign Securities and Overseas Exchange Traded Fund (ETFs) .

Markets continued to remain weak and are showing no signs of recovery and time soon. NIFTY is at 3695.85 (-3.2%). CNX IT is down 1.9% and Bank Nifty is down 5.4%
BSE indices too are trading weak. Midcap is down 2%, BSE 100, BSE 200 and BSE 300 are down by about 2.7%. BSE Small Cap index is down 1.6%. Auto and Bank sectoral indices on BSE are down over 4.5% followed by PSUs which are hit 3.4%
Major gainers so far on the BSE Group A are IFlex, Neyveli, Novartis, Hindustan Zinc, Merck, Hexaware, Cointainer Corporation, CESC Ltd, DLink and Moser Baer. Top loosers list includes PNB (-36.65; -7.7%), OBC (-133.8; -7.3%), Union Bank (-7.65;-7.36%) amongst others.

With just a week for most Indian corporates to announces the results, the Indian stock markets are continuing to be tasting some bitter volatile sessions. The NSE opened at 3728.15 down -2.44% as against its previous closure of 3821.55. Banking stocks are the worst hit with Bank Nifty currently trading at -5.66%
All 12 stocks on Bank Nifty are in red. Oriental Bank suffered the most. The script is trading down 8.4% and is at Rs. 171.75. Union Bank, UTI Bank, Corporation Bank and Punjab National Bank are other major losers and all the scripts are trading about 7%
