The Sensex is trading at 13,177.45 and has added 321.37 points in the days trade so far. This equals to +2.50%. The Midcap index gained 1.88% while the Smallcap index is up by 2.03.
Bank, FMCG and Metal stock indices have crossed +3% levels. Consumer Durable stocks which were dull during the first hours of the trading session too rebounded well and are zoom into the green territories. The place of course is now occupied by Health Care stocks.
Nifty has added 2% today and is trading at 3842.20.
Major gainers on the Sensex so far include UTI Bank (+10%), Infra Dev Fin (+9%), Kotak Bank (+7%), Parsvnath, India Cement, Tata Steel (+6%), Bank of Baroda, Sobha Developers, ITC and CESC Ltd (all +5%)

Good buying interest has helped the Indian stock markets to zoom further. Nifty is at 3836.90 having added 2.26% today. Bank Nifty is trading +2.7%.
Sensex is at 13,143.29 (+287.21 points; +2.23%). Midcap index is up +1.65%, Smallcap index is +2.05%
Consumer durables continues to be hit today. Metal index crossed +3.08% levels. Bank, IT and FMCG indices look strong.

Markets continued to gain points during the last hour of trade. NIFTY is at 3826.85 (+1.99%). Nifty indices CNX IT, Bank Nifty, Junior Nifty and CNX 100 are all above +2% levels.
Sensex is at 13,110.55 and is +254.47 points or +1.98%. Consumer Durables index lost a bit of its shine while Bankex, Capital Goods, IT, Metal, PSU and Teck indices gained.
Major gainers on BSE so far include Kotak Bank, MTNL, Tata Steel, Siemens, IDFC, Punj Lloyd, CMC, Bharat Electric, India Cement and Sterl Biotec

Markets opened positive on this first trading day of the week. This week gains significance as many of the top notch Indian Corporates are about to begin announcing their corporate results. All eyes are of course on Infosys results that might be out on April 13, 2007 (Friday).
The Sensex is currently at 13,059.63 and has gained 203.55 points of 1.58%. All indices on the Sensex including the Midcap and Small cap are trading at above +1% mark. Banking and Metal Stock indices are over +2%.
Nifty is trading at 3809.30 as against its previous closure of 3752.00 and is +1.53%. Bank Nifty is at +2.33%
Top Nifty 50 gainers so far are MTNL (+5%), Tata Steel, PNB (both +3%), SBI, SAIL, Infosys Technologies, VSNL, Reliance Communications, ICICI Bank (all +1%) and Grasim (marginally in positive).
Glaxo is the lone stock in the Nifty 50 that is in red. The script is trading at 1110.00 and is marginally in red.
