Markets had a bull run today. Nifty closed the day 4141.80 up 1.39%. CNX IT closed down -0.88% while Bank Nifty closed up 4.64%. Today is clearly a day of banking stocks.
Sensex manged to close the day above the 14100 mark. The index closed at 14,136.72 and gained 208.39 points during the day. Midcap index is up 0.75% while Smallcap index is up 0.47%. Bankex is up 4.06%, Auto, Metal, Oil & PSU indices closed +1% up.
Todays topers on Sensex are Ramco System, Syngenta Ltd, Indian Bank, Canara Bank, Rolta, Parsvnath, Syndicate, OBC, Zee Entertainment and Bank of India. Sensex losers today are Mahanag Tele, Exide Industries, Wipro, Container Corporation, FDC Limited, Alfa Laval, Bharat Electricals, Arvind Mills, Ispat Industries and Dredging Corporation

The Sensex crossed the 14K mark and is now trading at 14,150.18 having gained 221.85 points or 1.59%. The midcap and smallcap indices are rather moving slow indicating that the actual movers are the large cap stocks. Bankex is up 4.1%, Auto is up 2.51% while Metal, Oil & Gas and PSU’s are up be 1%.
Nifty is currently at 4146.55 up 1.50%. Bank Nifty is up 4.55% while CNX IT is up by 0.22%
Top Sensex gainers so far are Ramco System, Syngenta, Indian Bank, Bank of India, Canara Bank, PNB, OBC, Indian Overseas Bank, Parsvnath and SBI. Sensex losers include Alfa Laval, Exide Industries, Balaji Tele, BHEL, BASF India, Hexaware Ltd, Gujarat Gas, Finolex Cables, Colgate Palmolive and Century Enka.

Traders on the Indian stock markets seems to be taking a cautious move today. Sensex is currently trading at 13,936.45 - few points below the magical 14000 points mark. Sensex is up by 8.12 points or 0.06%. Midcap and Smallcap indices too are marginally up.
NSE Nifty is up at 4089.15 (+0.10%). CNX IT is trading red while Bank Nifty is marginally up.
Top gainers in early trades on the Sensex are Sungenta, HTMT, Ramco Systems, Power Finance, IGate Global, Zee Entertainment, Jindal, Cipla and GTL Limited. Top losers so far are Gujarat Gas, Gillette India, Siemens, Gujarat Power , Alstom, BHEL, Nirma, J&K Bank, FDC Limited and Century Enka.
