The media had reports that Prysmian Spa, Italy, may acquire a strategic stake in Nicco Corporation Limited.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Nicco Corporation Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated,” From time to time, the company considers various corporate strategic options as an ongoing process. Once the Company finalises any arrangement or proposal, due intimation will be sent to the Stock Exchange.”

The derivative contracts in the underlying NAGARFERT and IFCI have crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit on July 03, 2007. It is hereby informed that all clients/ members shall trade in derivative contracts of NAGARFERT and IFCI by offsetting their existing positions till the open interest comes down to 80% of the market wide position limit.
