The Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. announced the launch of BSE Realty Index on July 9, 2007 to mark its 133rd Foundation Day.
The ‘BSE Realty Index’ on August 30, 2007 opened at 7338.80 and touched an intra-day high of 7354.97 to close the day at 7116.08, down by 92.42 points, 1.28% from its previous close of 7208.50. It touched an intra-day low of 7074.14.

The media had reports that Karuturi Networks Limited has acquired the Dutch floriculture major Sher Agencies for around $69 million.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Karuturi Networks Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, “The proposal to acquire the aforesaid Dutch Company is still in the process of being finalized. As and when there is any official communication from the Board regarding the execution of the contract, we will inform the Stock Exchange accordingly.”

The media had reports that India Infoline Limited may sell its insurance broking business.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
India Infoline Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, “We deny the reports as they are untrue, baseless and without verification with the Company.”
