The Sensex closed at 15422.05 up about 102 points. Nifty closed at 4474.75 up by 0.24%. Most of the trades are range bound. Bank Nifty and CNX Midcap closed up over 1%.
Amongst CNX IT CMC, FinanTech, Polaris, Subex and HCL-Insys closed in green while Wipro, Moserbear, TCS and I-Flex closed in red. On the Bank Nifty, Bank of Baroda, Union Bank, Canara Bank, Orient Bank and Kotak Bank closed in the green.
On the Sensex, Midcap and Smallcap indices closed up 1.6%. Consumer durables index is up 2% while other indices showed reasonable uptrends.

The Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. announced the launch of BSE Realty Index on July 9, 2007 to mark its 133rd Foundation Day.
The ‘BSE Realty Index’ on September 3, 2007 opened at 7274.77 and touched an intra-day high of 7342.71 to close the day at 7325.50, up by 83.85 points, 1.16% from its previous close of 7241.65. It touched an intra-day low of 7231.07.

The Exchange has decided to exclude FCI OEN Connectors Ltd. (Scrip Code: 504250) from BSE Small-Cap index w.e.f. September 10, 2007.
The exclusion of FCI OEN Connectors Ltd. is made on account of discontinuation of trading and delisting pursuant to the SEBI (Delisting of Securities) Guidelines, 2003.

The Asian Stock Markets opened this monday morning mixed. The markets are volatile and confused to take a single sided course. Meanwhile, the Indian markets opened in the green.
The first tick on the BSE is at 15401.99 up 83 points and NSE is at 4486.90 up 23 points. Reliance Petro, Tata Steel, VSNL, Infosys, Maruti Udyog, HDFC Bank have opened the day in the green in the morning.
On Friday last, the Indian Markets continued to gain green opening positive from the global markets. NSE Nifty closed at 4464.00 points and is up 1.17%. Nifty Junior is up 2.29%. CNX IT is up 1.20% while BANK NIFTY is up 1.57%. CNX 100 closed up 1.33%.
Amongst CNX IT TechM,Tata Elxsi,CMC,HCL-Insys and Patni closed in green while Infosystch and Hexaware closed in red. On the Bank Nifty, PNB,Bank India,Kotak Bank,Orient Bank and Union Bank closed in the green while HDFC Bank closed in red.
BSE Sensex closed at 14,842.38 points and is up 417.51. BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap indices too closed two percent up. Top sectoral indices gainers include Auto,Bankex, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Health care and IT.
