Markets close week marginally in red - September 14, 2007
The last trading day of the week did not give in big surprises. NSE and BSE closed marginally in red in the Indian markets.
NSE Nifty closed at 4518.00 points and is down 0.24%. Nifty Junior is down 1.45%. CNX IT is down 0.84% while BANK NIFTY is up 0.12%. CNX 100 closed down 0.42%.
Amongst CNX IT Hexaware and Infosys Technologies closed in green while Rolta, Mphasis, Subex, Finantech and Patni closed in red.
On the Bank Nifty, Corporate Bank,ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank closed in the green while Bank India,Union Bank,Orient Bank,Canara Bank and SBIN closed in red.
BSE Sensex closed at 15,603.80 points and is down 10.64. BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap indices too closed less than a percent up.Top sectoral indices gainers include Auto,Bankex, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Health care and IT.
Inflation update for September 14, 2007 is out. Inflation rose to 214.40 compared to 213.60 in the previous week.
