The media had reports that Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. may set up an electicity plant in Turkey investing around Rs. 2,380 crore.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Jindal Steel & Power Ltd. has vide its letter inter-alia stated, ” In this connection, we wish to inform you that Company has no such proposal to set up electricity plant in Turkey”.

The derivative contracts in the underlying ESSAROIL has crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit on October 05, 2007. It is hereby informed that all clients/ members shall trade in derivative contracts of ESSAROIL by offsetting their existing positions till the open interest comes down to 80% of the market wide position limit.
