The closing trading day of the week closed red. Both NSE and BSE couldn’t continue to hold on any small uptrend and have closed in the red by closing time.
NSE Nifty closed at 5428.25 points and is down 1.75%. Nifty Junior is down 1.88%. CNX IT is down 0.40% while BANK NIFTY is down 2.76%. CNX 100 closed down 1.77%.
Amongst CNX IT Rolta,Finantech and Patni closed in green while TechM,Hexaware,CMC,Polaris and I-Flex closed in red.
On the Bank Nifty,Bank India closed in the green while SBIN,Bank Baroda,ICICI Bank,Kotak Bank and Axis Bank closed in red.
BSE Sensex closed at 18,419.04 points and is down 395.03. Both BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap indices closed less than a percent down .
Top sectoral indices gainers include Auto,Bankex,Consumer Durables, FMCG, Health care and IT.

Markets opened as expected. After few days of bull run, the markets are trying to cool off with profit booking taking place in almost all sectors. Sensex lost about 160 points in early trades
Reliance stocks are trading mixed while ONGC is in solid green continuing its yesterdays run.
Koutons Retail India got listed in the green and the stock traded at about Rs. 600+ in the first few minutes of trade. Good news for the IPO allotees.
