Markets closed red in the Global Indian Markets
The opening trading day of the week continue to close in red. Nifty closed in red though Sensex managed to come up to the green at closing time.
NSE Nifty closed at 5184.00 points and is down 0.60%. Nifty Junior is up 0.55%. CNX IT is down 1.78% while BANK NIFTY is up 1.94%. CNX 100 closed down 0.46%.
Amongst CNX IT GTL,Moserbaer,Patni, and HCL Tech closed in green while Tech Mahindra, TCS, HCL-INSYS, Hexaware and Satyam Computers closed in red.
On the Bank Nifty,ICICI Bank,State Bank of India,Union Bank,Corporation Bank and Orient Bank,closed in green while Axis Bank,Bank Baroda and Canara Bank closed in red.
BSE Sensex closed at 17,613.99 points and is up 54.01. Both BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap indices are marginally up.
Top sectoral indices gainers include Auto, Bankex, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Health care and IT.
