Reliance Tax Saver (ELSS) announces dividend

Investors in the Dividend plan of Reliance Tax Saver (ELSS) scheme would get a dividend of Rs. 1 per unit. The record book date is November 2, 2007. It may be recalled, the scheme announced a dividend of Rs. 1 earlier on February 21, 2007.

The NAV of the scheme is Rs. 17.34 as of October 29, 2007. The Asset Size of the scheme is Rs. 2,087.88 crores as of September 28, 2007.

Top sectoral holdings of the scheme are Basic/Engineering, Automobile, Technology, Construction and Financial Services

Market-wide Position Limit in TTML

The derivative contracts in the underlying TTML have crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit on October 29, 2007. It is hereby informed that all clients/ members shall trade in derivative contracts of TTML  by offsetting their existing positions till the open interest comes down to 80% of the market wide position limit.

Indian Markets continue their bull run

The opening trading day of the week continued in the positive. NSE and BSE both ended in the green by closing bell.

NSE Nifty closed at 5905.90 points and is up 3.57%. Nifty Junior is up 1.21%. CNX IT is up 0.75% while BANK NIFTY is up 2.87%. CNX 100 closed up 3.27%.

Amongst CNX IT Mphasis, GTL, Satyam Computers, Wipro and Finantech closed in green while Moserbaer,Mindtree,Hexaware,TCS and I-Flex closed in red.

On the Bank Nifty, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, PNB, Bank of India and State Bank of India closed in green while Orient Bank, Canara Bank and Union Bank closed in red.

BSE Sensex closed at 19,977.67 points and is up 734.50. Both BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap indices closed more than a percent up. Top sectoral indices gainers include Auto, Bankex, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Health care and IT.
