The Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. announced the launch of BSE Power Index on November 9, 2007 to mark the beginning of Samvat 2064.
The ‘BSE Power Index’ on November 14, 2007 opened at 4620.70 and touched an intra-day high of 4678.67 to close the day at 4670.19, up by 142.51 points, 3.15% from its previous close of 4527.68. It touched an intra-day low of 4608.92.

The Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. announced the launch of BSE Realty Index on July 9, 2007 to mark its 133rd Foundation Day.
The ‘BSE Realty Index’ on November 14, 2007 opened at 10209.87 and touched an intra-day high of 10327.68 to close the day at 10316.36, up by 317.70 points, 3.18% from its previous close of 9998.66. It touched an intra-day low of 10186.39.

Asian markets are all green today. The Indian Markets too took a queue and began on a bull run this morning. Nifty 50 opened up about 138 points and Sensex is up 480 points. CNX Midcap index is up 130 points.
The surprising sector is the Technology which saw a pull back after many of the top notch IT stocks saw their 53-week low.
Infosys is up 3%. Wipro and Satyam are trading strong. The other tech stocks too opened positive after most Indian Tech ADRs closed in green yesterday night.
L&T continued to surge to newer heights.
NTPC and other power utilities are trading strong. Birla Power is up 10%. RNRL is up about 5%
The Banking stocks are trading positive. ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank surged in the first trades.
