Intra-day BSE Realty Index Movement – November 15, 2007

The Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. announced the launch of BSE Realty Index on July 9, 2007 to mark its 133rd Foundation Day.

The ‘BSE Realty Index’ on November 15, 2007 opened at 10339.84 and touched an intra-day high of 10598.09 to close the day at 10523.42, up by 207.06 points, 2.01% from its previous close of 10316.36. It touched an intra-day low of 10312.18.

Intra-day BSE Power Index Movement – November 15, 2007

The Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. announced the launch of BSE Power Index on November 9, 2007 to mark the beginning of Samvat 2064.

The ‘BSE Power Index’ on November 15, 2007 opened at 4695.67 and touched an intra-day high of 4729.00 to close the day at 4613.94, down by 56.25 points, 1.20% from its previous close of 4670.19. It touched an intra-day low of 4598.79.

News about Salora International Limited

The media had reports that Salora International Ltd. may raise funds to expand its retail and distribution business in the telecom and media sector, and may go for a QIP at a price upwards of Rs.350.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

Salora International Ltd. has vide its letter inter-alia stated,”Regarding the expansion of the retail and distribution business, we submit that our Company is not into retailing but one of our group Companies has ventured into the same. We have year wise attained growth in our Telecom division which is into the distribution business. Further the Board of Directors of the Company has not considered any proposal of fund raising.”
