Indian markets open positive - November 29, 2007

Large caps stocks are getting their deserved attention again. Nifty opened the day over 100 points up and Sensex is up 330 points. Infosys has shown considerable interest. Bajaj Auto, Unileaver, RPL and ACC are a bit in the red.

Advancing stocks are more than the declining ones. NIIT, Ispat, WWIL, Escorts are showing good interest. Mundra Port & SEZ is at 900 levels.

Banking stocks are trading good. Large cap banks ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank had reported good gains.

The media had reports that  Reliance Industries Limited may buy out the Company, for a substantial sum.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

Reliance Natural Resources Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated,”It is not the policy of the Company to comment on speculation and rumours. Developments, if any, which concern stake-holders of the Company, will be intimated in due course and at appropriate time.”
