News about Deccan Aviation Limited

The media had reports that Deccan Aviation Limited may split the aviation chartering business into a separate entity.

The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.

Deccan Aviation Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, “The Board of Directors at the meeting held on April 26, 2007 had considered and approved in principle the proposal of hiving off the Charter Services into a separate entity through a wholly owned subsidiary and formation of a Company for the same subject to approval of the shareholders of the Company. Consequent to the said in principle approval from the Board, studies are now being initiated to consider this. However, no concrete steps have been taken and will only be taken after the outcome of these studies is presented to the Board.”

Market-wide Position Limit in ARVINDMILL,NAGARFERT & BONGAIREFN

The derivative contracts in the underlying ARVINDMILL, NAGARFERT & BONGAIREFN have crossed 95% of the market-wide position limit on December 04, 2007. It is hereby informed that all clients/ members shall trade in derivative contracts of  ARVINDMILL,NAGARFERT & BONGAIREFN  by offsetting their existing positions till the open interest comes down to 80% of the market wide position limit.

Indian Markets open positive – November 4, 2007

Nifty opened in the green and is trading about 30 points and Sensex up 80 points. Nifty is close to 5900 mark.

DLF, Airtel, ACC, M&M, Hindalco, Tata Steel, HDFC Bank are all in the green. Liquid stocks continue to rule the midcap space. RNRL, IFCI, Deccan Chronicle are all in the green. 3I Infotech is up Rs. 4.45. The power sector is starting to move upwards but slowly. Videocon Industries is up over Rs. 13.75

Essar Oil is up Rs. 22.8 and is trading at around 313.8. Dish TV is continuing is march and is just short of Rs. 100 mark.
