The Indian stock markets opened in the green territory this morning. Rally is seen in Information Technology stocks in particular followed by Bank and Realty stocks.
NSE Nifty is at 4943.50 while BSE Sensex is at 16,486.98 both up by near over 1.4%
Top Nifty gainers in the first few minutes of trade include Satyam Computers, Infosys, Sterlite, HCL Tech, Wipro, Reliance Petroleum, HDFC Bank, Hindalco, Tata Power and Cairn while top Nifty losers is Hero Honda. Hero Honda script is down marginally by 0.70%.

Stock markets in Asia are continuing to stay in the green territory. All Ordinaries, Hang Seng, Nikkei 225, NZSE 50, Straits Times are all up over a percentage point while the rest of the Asian stock markets are trading firm in the green territory.

The Asian Stock Markets are trading in green this morning. Expect for the Shanghai Composite which is down by 1.91%, the rest of the markets are trading in the green. All Ordinaries, Jakarta Composite, Nikkei 225, Straits Times and Taiwan Weighted are up over 1% while the rest of the markets are marginally in the green.

April 15 has come and Infosys made its results announcement today and there is cheer in the markets everywhere. The Indian stock markets were range bound in the first hours of trade but picked moment as the numbers rolled out.
Nifty is up 2.13% and is at 4879.65 by closing time. Nifty Junior is at 8248.65 up 1.83%. CNX IT is by 5.45% while Bank Nifty closed up by 1.14%.
Having the read the Infosys numbers and its guidance, few market analysts have already begun changing the IT Sector guidance to buy, which is actually a good sign. Infosys opened the trading day at Rs. 1440.00, hit an intraday high of 1525.00 and intraday low of 1420.00 and last traded at 1510.40 by closing bell. Top gainers on CNX IT include TCS, Mindtree, MPhasis, HCL Tech and Hexaware
Top gainers on the Nifty include Ranbaxy, TCS, HCL Tech, Infosys, Reliance Communication, Wipro, Hindustan Unilever, BPCL, Reliance Petrol and Satyam Computers. Top losers of the day include Zee Limited, Cairn, HDFC Bank, Hindalco, Ambuja Cement, SAIL, National Aluminium, ACC, Tata Steel and HDFC.

Canara Robeco Mutual Fund has announced the merger of two of its existing mutual fund schemes - Canara Robeco Expo and Canara Robeco Fortune 94 with Canara Robeco Equity Diversified Scheme. The effective merger date is April 23, 2008 and existing investors who wish to exit from scheme can do so without any load by April 23, 2008.
The Scheme was initiated in 16th September, 2003 and its objectives are “To generate capital appreciation by investing in equity and equity related securities.”. The scheme’s porfilo has top investment in sectors like Petroleum Products (14.78%), Power (12.76%), Industrial Capital Goods (12.28%), Ferrous Metals (7.90%), Construction (7.14%), Other Equity (38.71%) and MMI & Others (6.43%)
The scheme benchmarks with the BSE 200 and the most recent dividend declaration is on 31.08.2007 for Rs. 3.00 per unit.
