The stock markets finally managed to close the day in the green. The NSE Nifty closed at 4337.50 up a mere 0.05%. The BSE Sensex closed at 14482.22 up 31.87 points or 0.22. HDFC Bank amongst the Banking sector and Satyam Computers from the IT sector closed up over 3% each
The CNX IT closed up 1.2% while the Bank Nifty closed up 1.41%
The BSE Midcap index closed marginally in the green while the BSE Smallcap remained marginally in the red territory.
Sectorally, Bankex and Auto gained as both the indices closed up over a percentage point. Oil & Gas suffered as this BSE sectoral index closed down 1.18%. Realty and Metal closed in the red marginally.
Nifty gainers of the day include HDFC Bank, Satyam Computers (both up over 3%), HCL Tech, Wipro (both up over 2%), BHEL, TCS, Reliance Infra, Hindustan Unileaver, ACC and M&M (all up over a percent)
On the losing end of Nifty are Suzlon (down over 4%), Zee Limited, Reliance, Dr. Reddy Labs (both down over 2%), Idea, ABB, Tata Steel (all down over 1%), HDFC, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Communications (marginally in the red)

The stock markets saw a bit of recovery and are touching the highs of the day. Maruti is at the highs of the day. The script opened at 619, touched an intraday low of 609.70 and is currently at its intraday high of 641.9. The script is up 2.40%
NSE Nifty is at 4317 down 0.40%. CNX IT is up 1.14% while Bank Nifty is up 0.42%. BSE Sensex is at 14404.42 down by 45.93 pts or 0.32%. BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices continue to be in the red. IT, Auto, Bankex, FMCG and Consumer Durables are the sectoral indices in the green while the Realty index is down 2.12%
Top Nifty gainers in trades so far include HDFC Bank, Satyam, Maruti, HCL Tech, Wipro, TCS, National Aluminium, Sun Pharma, BHEL and Siemens. On the losers list are Suzlon, Zee Limited, Reliance, ABB, M&M, Unitech, Dr Reddy, Tata Steel, Bharti Airtel and IDEA.

The Indian stock markets opened the day marginally in the red and are trading flat. The CNX Nifty is at 4294.95 having come down the 4300 levels once again. The index is down 0.93%. CNX IT is up 1.3% while Bank Nifty is down 0.85%
The BSE Sensex opened the day at 14,338.27 and is now at 14,328.94 down by 121.41 points or 0.84% The BSE Smallcap and the Midcap indeces are marginally in the red.
Realty, Oil & Gas, Metal are on the losing side while IT and Auto are on the upside.
Top Nifty gainers are dominated by IT scripts. Satyam is up 2.12% and is trading at Rs. 401.80 levels. HCL Techm Wipro, Infosys and TCS are all up over 1%. HDFC Bank is up 1%. Sun Pharma, National Aluminium, BHEL and Hindustan Unilever are marginally in the green.
Top Nifty losers in the early hour of trade include Suzlon (down over 4%), Zee Limited, Reliance, ABB, Tata Steel, M&M, ICICI Bank and Unitech (all down over 2%), Dr. Reddy and Sterlite (both down over 1.5%)
