Markets trading flat; Nifty down 1.2%, Real Estate hit hard

Markets had a gap down opening this morning and are trading flat. Nifty is at 4171 levels and is down 1.2%. Sensex has shed 190-odd points and is at 13804 levels and is down by 1.36%. Realty stocks continues to be hammered down.
The broder CNX 100 is down 1.2% and CNX 500 is down 1.05%. CNX IT is down 1.85% and Bank Nifty is down 1.6%.
Nifty gainers in the early traders include NALCO, Cairn, GAIL, Sterlite Industries, Tata Power, Suzlon, ONGC, Tata Communications, ACC and Hero Honda.
On the downside are DLF, Ranbaxy, Unitech, Wipro, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, BHEL, HDFC, BPCL and Siemens.
The BSE Midcap and Smallcap Indices are down marginally. Realty, IT, Bankex, Consumer Durables, Health Care, Capital Goods, Power and FMCG stocks are down.
The BSE Realty Index is down 4.1%. Top real estate stock on the losing side include DLF, HDFC, India Bulls Real Estate, Unitech, Orbit amongst others.
