Bajaj Auto - PAT up by 23%

Bajaj Auto Limited announced its Q3 results for 2006-07. The 2-wheeler and 3-wheeler major has increased its motorcycle sales by 28% while the three-wheeler sales were up by 49%. The Turnover is at Rs. 27 billions and the Profit after tax is at Rs. 3.4 billion - up by 23%.

Bajaj feels its Platina is doing well in the price segment. Bajaj Discovers crossing the one million cumulative sales mark while the companies share in the value segment of two-wheelers was at 21% (as on Dec 06). Bajaj will be shortly introducing the Palsar 220 DTS-Fi. The companies domination in the three-wheeler segment continues with Bajaj having a 78% market share in the segment.
