Bull run on Sensex continues - October 15, 2007

The bull run on the boruses continued with the opening trading day of the week as the markets closed in green. As usual it is the of the big boys from Reliance. ONGC and Sterlite Industries too displayed a good show today. TCS announced its quarterly results which is better than the street expectations. The TCS impact would be seen only tomorrow when the markets open.
NSE and BSE both gained green which is a positive sign in Indian markets.
NSE Nifty closed at 5670.40 points and is up 4.46%. Nifty Junior is up 2.30%. CNX IT is up 0.71% while BANK NIFTY is up 4.44%. CNX 100 closed up 4.18%.
Amongst CNX IT CMC,Finantech,Rolta,Mindtree and TechM closed in green while Hexaware,Patni,Moserbaer,Infosystch and HCL Tech closed in red.
On the Bank Nifty,Axis Bank,SBIN,Bank India,HDFC Bank and COrporation Bank closed in the green.
BSE Sensex closed at 19,058.67 points and is down 639.63. Both BSE Midcap and BSE Smallcap indices closed more than a percent up .
Top sectoral indices gainers of the day include Auto, Bankex, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Health care and IT.
