The Indian stock markets opened on a positive note this morning. Nifty is trading at 5075 and is up by 1.75%. CNX IT is up 1.44%. Bank Nifty is up 2.21%.
Private banking stocks are getting more attention this morning. ICICI Bank is up 3.52%. Kotak Mahindra Bank, Axis Bank, IDBI are all up by over 2%. State Bank of India is trading at 1689 levels. IDBI passed the Rs. 100 mark and is trading at Rs. 100.20 levels.
Satyam Computers is down by 2.62% after a negative news from one its old alliance in the UK. Infosys Technologies on the other hand is up by 4.44%. IFCI, Reliance, Tata Steel, SAIL, Reliance Petrol, Reliance Capital and L&T are topping the volume charts.

The Indian stock markets opened positive this morning. CNX Nifty is up 0.47% while BSE Sensex is up 0.39%. The Largecap, Midcap and Smallcap are trading okay in the first half an hour of trade.
Metal stocks looks good. The BSE Metal Sectoral index is up 1.5%. PSU, Consumer Durables, Healthcare are looking good. IT and Reality sectoral indices are marginally in the red.
Some profit booking is seen in large cap telecom stocks. Both Reliance Communications and Bharti Airtel are in the red. Banking stocks are mixed as both traders and investors are keeping waiting for the key announcements from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) later today. The Bank Nifty is marginally in the red and is down 0.34%
Tata Steel is trading above the Rs. 800 mark. The script is at Rs. 805.25 up 3.44%

The Indian stock markets are trading in the green territory this morning. Nifty is at 5051.50 holding the 5050 mark. CNX It is at 4101.45 while Bank Nifty is at 7432.10
Private sector banks are the worst hit amongst the banking stocks this morning. HDFC Bank lost slipped 3.68%. ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Union Bank are down over 1.2%. SBI , Bank of India, OBC, Bank of Baroda ad Punjab National Bank are marginally in the red.
Telecom stocks are having a mixed day today. It may be recalled that the Department of Telecommunucations has announced the guidelines for the Mergers & Acqusitions in the telecom space.
Himachal Futuristic Communication is down 0.30 and is trading at Rs. 21.30

Farming, Education and Health care are the biggest sectors that would be winning because of the recent budget and hence the trading day today at the stock markets is witnessing the bias. Sensex is down by about 500 points and Nifty is down near 150 points.
Nifty is down over 3%, CNX IT is down 3.11%, Bank Nifty is down 4.18%. Selling is seen across the board without any market cap differentiation. Auto sectoral index is in green on the BSE while all other sectoral indices are in the red.
Maruti, M&M, Hero Honda, Bajaj Auto, Tata Motors are in the green while big losers of the day so far include Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, ITC, Suzlon, ABB, Wipro, ICICI Bank, BHEL, HCL Technologies and Tata Communications
