Indian markets close flat

The closing trading day of the week turned flat. NSE and BSE both couldn’t continue the all-green days and have seen considerable volatility.
NSE Nifty closed at 5185.85 points and is down 0.44%. Nifty Junior is down 2.63%. CNX IT is down 0.72% while BANK NIFTY is down 2.35%. CNX 100 closed down 0.73%.
Amongst CNX IT HCL Tech and Tech Mahindra closed in green while Polaris, Moser Baer, Mindtree, Finantech and HCL-Insys closed in red.
On the Bank Nifty,Corporation Bank closed in the green while Kotak Bank, Union Bank, ICICI Bank,Bank Baroda and State Bank of India closed in red.
BSE Sensex closed at 17,773.36 points and is down 3.78. BSE Midcap index closed more than a percent up while BSE Smallcap index closed less than a percent up.
Top sectoral indices gainers include Auto, Bankex, Consumer Durables, FMCG, Health care and IT.
