Indian markets close positive; IT stocks slip

NIFTY ended the day at 4260.90 up 1.10%. NIFTY JUNIOR climbed up the ladder by 1.39%. CNX IT is down by 1.27%. BANK NIFTY is 1.60% while CNX 100 is up 1.14%.
Top gainers on Nifty today include Balaji Tele, Sadbhav, KCP Sugar Industries, Chennai Petro, KCP, Provogue, McDowell, Vinyl Chem, Dolphin Off and Zicom.
Clearly it is a bad day for the IT Stocks. Sugar and oil stocks fared well while Banking scripts had a relatively good day today. Top Nifty losers of the day are ANT Graphics, Dyna Cons, BEPL, Adanient, KNL, Paral, Fortis, Page Industries, Max, Shree Cem amongst others.
Top gainers on Sensex today include Reliance Energy, Tata Steel, Reliance, HDFC Bank, ONGC, ITC, Reliance Communications, SBI, Maruti, Housing Development Finance Co. Other gainers worth mention include Autolite, Balaji Tele, Wheel & Axle amongst others.
Top Sensex losers of the day are Tata Motors, Wipro, Bajaj Auto, Satyam Computers, TCS, ICICI Bank, Dr. Reddy, Infosys, Hero Honda and CIPLA. Shiv Fertilizers, TPL Plast, Dynacons amongst others touched the lower circuit filter.
