Indian markets continue to close green - September 24, 2007

The opening trading day of the week continued green which is a positive sign. NSE and BSE both continued green in the Indian markets.
NSE Nifty closed at 4932.20 points and is up 1.96%. Nifty Junior is up 2.51%. CNX IT is down 0.95% while BANK NIFTY is up 2.50%. CNX 100 closed up 2.03%.
Amongst CNX IT Rolta,Moserbear,HCL-Insys,Mphasis,HCL Tech closed in green while Infosystch,Satyam Computers,Tata Elxsi,Patni,Polaris closed in red.
On the Bank Nifty, PNB,Bank Baroda,Axis Bank,ICICI Bank and Canara Bank closed in the green while Corporation Bank closed in red.
BSE Sensex closed at 16,845.83 points and is up 281.60. BSE Midcap indice closed more than a percent up while BSE Smallcap indice closed less than a percent up.
Top sectoral indices gainers include Auto,Bankex,Consumer Durables, FMCG, Health care and IT.
