Indian markets open green - November 23, 2007

Asian markets are trading volatile and mixed though the signs of weakening is very well there. However the Indian markets opened in the green today. Almost all sectors are showing signs of positiveness. The Finance Minister’s statement that the Indian markets are relatively shielded well from global pressures seems to be very true and correct.

L&T is up over Rs. 100. Banking stocks continued to be strong – SBI, ICICI Bank are continuing to zoom. UCO Bank in the midcap stocks is getting immense attention.

Siemens is up 13% after a good results announcements.

Rally in power stocks is continuing. RNRL is up 3%. ISPAT is up 5%. GMR Infra is up Rs. 4.6.

Nifty 50 us up 73 points while Sensex is up 200 points. Midcap index is up 2.5%.

Todays listings are seeing mixed today.

Barak Valley Cements is trading at Rs. 59.8

Rathi Bars is trading at 33.2

Allied Computers International is up Rs. 31.
