Indian stock markets take a gap up opening; Banks back in limelight

The Indian stock markets opened the day in the green with a reasonably good gap up opening. The Nifty is at 4383 up 1.29%. The CNX IT is up 1.04% while the Bank Nifty is up 3.07% CNX Midcap index is up 1.21%
The BSE Sensex is back at 14600 levels. The index opened the day at 14,643.37 and is currently at about 14,632.50 up 231 points. The CNX Midcap and CNX Smallcap indides too are in the green at above 1.2% levels each.
Top Sectoral gainers of the day include Realty, Bank, Capital Goods, PSU, IT, Consumer Durables and the Metals.
Top gainers on the Nifty include ICICI Bank, DLF, HDFC Bank, BPCL (all up over 3%), Reliance Infra, SAIL, HDFC, L&T and Tata Communications (all up over 2%)
On the losing side include Cairn, ABB, Hindustan Unilever, Cipla, Tata Power and Ranbaxy
