Markets losing strength - May 4, 2007 - 1:20 PM

Markets began to loose strength as selling pressure intensified in Oil & Gas and IT sectors. Sensex is down 123.06 points or 0.87%. Midcap Sensex is down 0.24% while Smallcap index is down 0.27%.
A look at the sectoral indices shows IT down by 1.16% and Oil & Gas down by 1.47%. Consumer Durables index is up 1.58%.
Major gainers of the day on the Sensex are Colgate Palmolive, Indus Ind Bank, Lanco Infra, Gujarat Mineral Development, Aditya Birla Nuvo, Essel Propac, Rolta India and GAIL India. Major losers of the day on the Sensex include United Phosp, Century Enka, Geometric Software, Ramco Software, Reliance, IPCL, IFlex, Satyam, Reliance Capital and BPCL.
Nifty is down at 4120.10. CNX IT index is down by 1% while Bank Nifty just slipped into the red.
