Markets open low; Trading flat by midday

The Indian stock markets had a weak opening this morning and are trading flat and sideways.
CNX Nifty is at 4350.10 down by 0.98%. Nifty Junior is down 1.25%. Bank Nifty is down by 1.44% after selling pressure on banking stocks in the last hour or so. CNX IT too slipped into the red and is down by 0.48% Midcap stocks continue to be in pressure with CNX Midcap index getting down by 1.01%
Draggers on the Nifty include Maruti, ACC (bothd own over 4%), IDEA, Unitech, HDFC, Sterlite (all down over 3%), GAIL, Reliance Communications, Power Grid and Satyam (all down over 2%)
Toppers on the Nifty include SAIL (up over 1%), BPCL, Ambhuja Cements, ABB, Siemens, Sun Pharma, NTPC, TCS, RPL and Cipla (all marginally in the green)
The BSE Sensex lost 164 points so far in todays trade and is currently at 14480.98. Midcap and Smallcap indices are marginally down. Top sectoral losers on the BSE include Auto, Realty, Tech, Metal and Bank (all down over 1%)
