Markets open partially in green - March 26, 2007 - Opening bell

The Indian stock markets, having seen some good signs of recovery in the past week have opened this morning in the green. NIFTY is at 3867.30 as against its previous closure of 3861.05 and has gained +0.16%. Banking stock rally seems to be continuing. IT stocks take a mixed bag.
Nifty 50 gainers so far are Jet Airways, PNB, VSNL, ICICI Bank, MTNL, ONGC, Zee Limited, Hero Honda, M&M (all +1%) and Cipla (marginally in green). Top Nifty 50 loosers so far are Tata Motors (-2%), HDFC, Maruti, Suzlon, HDFC Bank, BHEL (all -1%), L&T, HCL Tech, Hindalco and Infosys Technologies (marginally in red).
