Markets slip slightly - April 17, 2007

The Indian Stock Markets, having witnessed two good trading sessions had rather a weak start. The news of a strong results from TCS could not cheer up the markets today as much as Infosys did few days back.
NIFTY is currently at 3999.70 as against to its previous closure of 4013.35. Nifty is currently down by 0.31%. IT stocks were surprisingly turned losers today. CNX IT is down by 2.30%
Sensex is currently at 13,658.29 and is down by 37.29 points. Midcap index is marginally down while Smallcap index is marginally up. IT is the biggest sectoral loser so far. BSE IT index is down 2.40. Bank, Consumer Durables and Metal indices are down too.
