Monday morning blues continue to haunt Indian markets

In line with the Asian markets, the Indian stock markets opened lower this morning. Sensex is down nearly 600 points but slowly began to take a recovery course. Dr. Reddy is down by over 9% in the early trades.
Nifty slided by 4.82% and is trading at 5123.70. The weakness is across the board – Large caps, mid caps and small caps all of them are down. On the BSE, the Realty sectoral index is the worst hit. It lost as much as 645 points and is down by 5.77%.
Biggest early hour losers include HDFC Bank, VSNL, Dr. Reddy, SAIL, Unitech, Bharti Airtel, M&M, ABB, Hindalco and Reliance Petrol.
IT stocks are getting hammered more. Polaris, Mphasis, Moser Baer are down over 6%. Infosys is trading at 1463.50 levels. Satyam is trading at Rs. 392.35 levels.
