The media had reports that NIIT Technologies Limited may merge with HCL-Infosystems Ltd.
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
NIIT Technologies Limited has vide its letter inter-alia stated, “We clarify that the news item and the story therein is baseless, speculative and does not have any substance. Further, we confirm that no such news has emanated from NIIT Technologies or its management during any of its communications, press conferences or releases whatsoever.”
