Sensex adds 205.84 points in todays trade

The markets remained flat all through the day despite opening on a positive note. Nifty closed at 4150.85 points and is up 1.54%. CNX IT is up 1.09% while Bank Nifty is up 1.29%.
On CNX IT, 13 stocks advanced and 7 stocks declined. MPhasis, Finantech, Subex, Mastek and HCL Tech are in the gainers list while IFlex, Hexaware, HCL Insys, CMC and Tata Elxsi closed in the red.
Frontline Banking stocks traded positive today. On the Bank Nifty, 12 scripts advanced while 2 scripts declined. Corporation Bank, Canara Bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of India and PNB closed positive. HDFC Bank and OBC closed in the red.
The Sensex managed to close above the 14K level comfortable. BSE Sensex is at 14,078.21 points at closing bell. The Sensex added 205.84 points and is up 1.48%.
Midcap Index is up 1.22% while Smallcap index is up 0.86%. On the sectoral indices, Oil & Gas is up 2.8% while most other indices are up 1%.
Top gainers on Sensex are Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Hindustan Zinc, Gujarat Gas, IBP, DLink India, Alstom Projects, Castrol Indiam, IDBI Ltd, ING Vysya and Neyveli Lignite. Top losers of the day are IFlex, Aventis Pharma, SKF India, Geometric Software, Ramco Systems, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, J&K Bank and HLL.
