Sensex up 221.85; Gains strength - April 24, 2007 - 1:00 PM

The Sensex crossed the 14K mark and is now trading at 14,150.18 having gained 221.85 points or 1.59%. The midcap and smallcap indices are rather moving slow indicating that the actual movers are the large cap stocks. Bankex is up 4.1%, Auto is up 2.51% while Metal, Oil & Gas and PSU’s are up be 1%.
Nifty is currently at 4146.55 up 1.50%. Bank Nifty is up 4.55% while CNX IT is up by 0.22%
Top Sensex gainers so far are Ramco System, Syngenta, Indian Bank, Bank of India, Canara Bank, PNB, OBC, Indian Overseas Bank, Parsvnath and SBI. Sensex losers include Alfa Laval, Exide Industries, Balaji Tele, BHEL, BASF India, Hexaware Ltd, Gujarat Gas, Finolex Cables, Colgate Palmolive and Century Enka.
