Smallcaps steal the show - Feb 16, 2012

Small cap stocks have stole the day with the BSE Smallcap zooming to 7131.65 points up 78.64 (1.11%) points while the other indices have managed to close at around the opening levels.

The SENSEX closed at 18153.99 slipping 48.42 (-0.27%) while the NIFTY closed at 5521.95 losing 10.00 (-0.18%). The CNX Midcap managed to close in the green at 7875.40 gaining 75.35 (0.97%) points in trade today.

Sasken Comm okayed buyback at upto Rs 180/sh. The company will spend upto Rs 86.5 crore on share buyback. The script closed at Rs. 139.50 gaining Rs. 16.60 (13.51%) with a volume of 3.09m shares traded.

Reliance Communications has received RBI approval for FCCB refinancing. The script managed to close at above the Rs. 100 level and closed at Rs. 103.25 slipping Rs. 1.30 (-1.24%).
